REASON:
First you should know that alakazam has really high special so any special based moves your charizard uses won't do diddly squat. So you should have at least narrowed it to earthquake and fly. Earthquake is good but fly matches one of charizard's two types- giving it a 50 percent damage boost. However Fly might allow your opponent to switch to an electric pokemon and put you in a bind. So earthquake would not be too bad of a choice so this question might be a bit of a tossup.
2.You are using a Raticate with the following moves:
REASON:
This one is a bit of a judgement call as dig is super effective on Omastar. However, with omastar's high defense it probably wouldn't do a whole lot of damage. Instead cut it's hit points in half with super fang and then dig it(If your Raticate didn't faint)
3.You are using a Gengar with the following moves:
REASON:
Poliwrath is of course water and fighting so both psychic and thunder are super effective on it. However after a few double teams your chances of hitting the opponent go down rapidly. In this case it would be better to use the much more accurate psychic than thunder.
4. Put these pokemon in order of Fastest to slowest:
2,3,4,1 REASON:
Dugtrio is one of the top ten fastest pokemon in the game so it should immediately go to the top of the list. Scyther is also fairly fast and blastoise has about average speed. Exeggutor is among the slowest pokemon.
5. You are fighting a Lapras. It was Paralyzed from a thunder wave attack from your Raichu that has just fainted. You only have one pokemon left and it is Dragonite. It has these moves:
REASON:
This one is a bit of a judgement call as well but I think when you really think about it It's probably the best choice. Fire blast would be one move that would do normal damage but it's pretty inaccurate and probably wouldn't kill the high special lapras in one hit. Probably the best strategy would be to wrap it to death. Mostly because if the lapras attacks your dragonite it's gone and you've lost. Wrap may be slow and a little annoying but at least your pokemon won't faint unless it misses and hopefully if it misses the lapras will be fully paralysed. No you can't use toxic because your opponent is paralysed and a pokemon can't be poisoned and paralysed at the same time.
6. Which one of these moves would do NORMAL (I.E. neither super effective nor not very effective) damage to an Aerodactyl?
REASON:
Body slam and fire blast would both come out as not very effective due to aerodactyl being part rock. thunderbolt would be super effective because of the flying type. Only razor leaf which is super effective on rock but not very effective on flying. Thus the types cancel out and leave you with normal damage. There is a boo boo in stadium to this effect though ice should do normal damage to Omastar but in stadium it comes out as not very effective. Why? i have no Idea
7. Which of these pokemon would deal the most damage with a thunderbolt attack:
REASON:
Jolteon would do the most damage because it is an electic type and has high special. 8. How many different TYPE Weaknesses does a Scyther have?
Six
and here they are:
Rock, fire, flying, electric, ice, and poison.
This makes me very reluctant to put a scyther on a team
9. You are Using a Nidoking with the following moves:
REASON:
Bubble beam might be your first inclination but remember that ground is also super effective on fire and nidoking is part ground so you would get a 50 percent damage boost on top of it being super effective. with rapidash's low defense you would stand a good chance of fainting it with one hit. bubble beam would do fairly good damage but with nidoking' low special it is doubtful it would faint in one hit without a critical hit.
10. What two Stat traits do all of the Eevee evolutions have in common? (EX high attack, low HP etc.)
REASON
All of the evee evolutions(so far) have high special and low defense. They do NOT have good HP. They are about average to low average in HP except for vaporeon which has really good HP. Jolteon and Flareon are not in the high HP category. If you look at their stats as rentals on stadium you'll see that they aren't in the top ten of high HP pokemon. Don't try to tell me "that's what the guide says" If you look at actual in game stats you'll see that of the three evolutions have approximately average HP and only Vaporeon has exceptional HP. 11. You are fighting a Hitmonchan. You are using a Blastoise. It has these moves:
REASON:
Hitmonchan and lee have NO special and Surf matches blastoise's type and is special based. The other two moves are attack based and won't be as effective. Blizzard doesn't match blastoise's type and so might not do as much damage as surf.
12. You are using a Raichu. It has these moves:
REASON:
Body Slam as it's the only move that would not be not very effective.
