Psychic Pokemon

Well some people thought that Dark and Steel types would be the downfall of Psychics. Not so as they are still very good pokemon. It's just that they are a bit easier to defeat. Here we go:

Pure Psychic Pokemon

Abra
Can Be Bred:Light Screen, Encore, Barrier
Kadabra
Alakazam
The second highest special pokemon in the game also one of the fastest. These high stats are compensated for a very low attack and defense rating. It's special Defense got a cut in G/S so it's a bit more unstable. However with it's recovery ability it is still a force to be reconed with.
Drowzee
Can Be Bred:Light Screen, Barrier
Hypno
Hypno has high attack and fairly high special as well as better defense than alakazam. It's also much slower but don't let this throw you off. Hypno is a very powerful psychic and an Awsome parafuser.
Mr. Mime

Can be Bred:Future Sight, Hypnosis, Mimic
Shudder, If you can actually stand to train a Mr. Mime then more power to you. It's special and speed are fairly good but it's defense is pretty bad(It starts out with barrier). Really only useful for baton passing substitute.
Mewtwo
a Pokemon of ridiculous power. Not the unstoppable force it was in RBY but still very powerful. Tha only thing that can beat it easily and consistently is Umbreon.
Espeon
As much as I don't like Psychics I sure like Espeon. It is a very powerful Psychic and is grea with a fire type hidden power coupled with morning sun and sunny day.
Mew
Can learn Any TM so is quite versetile and unpredictable. Good all around stats.
Wobuffet
An interesting pokemon designed around counterattacks. Can only learn one moveset.But can be deadly if you can predict your opponent properly Has incredible ammounts of HP.
Part Psychic Pokemon
Slowbro
Obviously slow and has high defense but low special defense. A powerful and useful pokemon.
SlowKing
The only difference between slowbro and slowking is that slowking has slowbro's defense as it's special defense and has slowbor's special defense as it's defense. Preference for one or the other is mostly a matter of opinion.
Exeggutor
It's double weakness to bug attacks and weakness to flying can really come back to haunt it in G/S plus it's special defense was essentially halved. It's much less survivable and should probably have explosion.
Starmie
Fast with decent special but low defense. Also learns recover. See under water pokemon for more info.
Natu
Can be bred:Haze, Drill Peck, Quick Attack, Faint Attack, Steel Wing
Xatu
Mostly interesting as a Hazer. Not too bad but fairly weak defensively.
Celebi
Basically a G/S mew. The ONLY heal beller not weak to fighting moves. But it's double weak to bug moves. Has the same stats as mew.
Lugia
Has a stat sum equal to that of Mewtwo. One of the most difficult to kill pokemon around.
Girafarig

Can be Bred:Take Down, Amnesia, Foresight, Future Sight, Beat Up
A Normal psychic and so is immune to the somewhat common shadow ball. Needs Amnesia to last very long but relatively powerful.
